Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments

Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)

Westchester Environmental LLC performs Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in compliance with the scope and limitations of The American Standard for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Practice E1527-21.

The purpose of a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment is to identify any recognized environmental conditions and assess potential site environmental liabilities. Westchester Environmental will characterize the extent of the problem and implement the appropriate corrective measures for each site investigation.

The main scope of the Phase I Site Assessment is to identify the presence or likely presence of any hazardous substances or petroleum products on the property under conditions that indicate an existing release, a past release, or a material threat of a release into structures on the property or into the ground, ground water, or surface water of the property.

Westchester Environmental inspects the site, conducts interviews, reviews regulatory databases, researches the property history, and prepares a report. We understand the importance of notifying clients quickly as concerns are identified and are available throughout the process to answer questions and provide practical advice. Our main goal is to help minimize business disruption and help facilitate property transfers and site closures in a timely and efficient manner.
